After Hours
Urgent Care Visits
Urgent health care issues don’t always present themselves at convenient times, so we’ve developed the following resources to help you when faced with an after-hours problem. Please save routine questions (mild illness, appointments, prescriptions refills, behavior issues) for the morning.
Bright Pediatrics will see your child for urgent concerns on Saturdays (beginning at 8:00 am). Patients will be seen at our Dalton office location only. Please call us at 706-529-4600 to schedule a same-day appointment. There will be an additional after-hours fee charged for this type of visit.
This Website: "Is Your Child Sick?" is our online triage system that utilizes the same nurse triage protocols used by over 20,000 pediatricians and almost every children’s hospital. Just select your child’s symptom(s) from the drop-down list and you will be given basic instructions on how to manage the problem, when to seek medical care, and what symptoms warrant urgent care. Also, you may find helpful information in our Visual Symptom Checker and What's Going Around? tools.
After-Hours Nurse Triage Service:
When our office is closed overnight and you have an urgent issue that cannot wait until morning, you can call our office and be connected to our nurse triage service line. It is staffed by pediatric nurses who will give you advice on the management of your child’s problem and help you decide if or when you need to seek medical care.
This service is available only to our established patients. There is a charge for this service so if your concern is not urgent, you may want to wait until our office reopens. You will be alerted at the beginning of the call if you are going to be assessed a charge. If the nurse determines that your concern is urgent, she will contact our physician on call and he or she will contact you.
You can always reach us at our 2 offices regardless of the time of day!
